I didn’t wake up one day looking to run for office. I stepped up because no one else was prepared to do the work required to fix the real problems caused by irresponsible growth. Dorchester County doesn’t hate growth — we hate the consequences of growth that isn’t planned.
Homes and shopping centers are being approved faster than roads, schools, and emergency services can keep up. That’s not smart growth — and we deserve better. I’m running to bring common sense, accountability, and real-world experience to County Council.
Meet Jennifer Kunda
CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN FOR COUNTY COUNCIL
Jennifer Kunda is a Dorchester County resident, small business owner, wife, and mother of two.
Born and raised in South Carolina, she has lived in the county for 14 years and is a proud graduate of Clemson University.
Jennifer served on the Dorchester County Planning Commission until December 2025, where she spent the last five years working directly on growth, zoning, and development decisions impacting our communities.

Jennifer lives in Legend Oaks — she sits in the same traffic, sends her kids to the same schools, and shares the same frustrations as the families she represents.
